Traffic Control Person

**Job Overview** **Responsibilities** - Direct and control vehicle and pedestrian traffic at construction sites or roadwork areas to ensure safety. - Set up and dismantle traffic control devices, including cones, signs, and barriers. - Communicate effectively with drivers and pedestrians to provide clear instructions. - Monitor traffic flow and adjust control measures as necessary to minimize delays. - Collaborate with construction crews to coordinate safe work zones. - Report any incidents or hazards to the appropriate authorities promptly. - Maintain a clear understanding of local traffic laws and regulations. **Requirements**: - 2 years minimum experience with traffic control/flagging required - Must have a drivers License - Must have own transportation or way to get to and from shop or job site - Must have CSA approved steel toe boots with 6" heel - Ability to work out of town - First Aid, CSTS is an asset **Skills** - Ability to setup barriers for traffic control as needed. - Strong observational skills to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols. - Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with the public and team members. - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety.
