Reporting to the President, the Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all organizational sales by designing and implementing strategic sales plans that effectively grow Iron Will Raw (IWR)’s market share, expand its customer base, and generate revenue growth.

The job incumbent must successfully build, train, develop and lead an innovative and competitive sales team (inside and outside) focused on customer satisfaction and loyalty. Team performance must be consistently managed by establishing achievable sales targets, tracking sales goals, and evaluating performance results.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Strategic Planning & Coordination_
- Manage organizational sales by developing strategic plans that incorporates sales, revenues and expense controls.
- Create realistic sales forecasts and report sales plans to the appropriate stakeholders (i.e. production, warehouse, etc.) to ensure efficient resource allocation and cash flow management.
- Prepare a sales budget and competently monitor and approve expenses.
- Coordinate with management to ensure sales strategies, policies and programs are aligned with and support organizational goals and objectives.
- Leadership & Team Management_
- Oversee the scheduling and workflow of the organization’s sales team (internal and external).
- Effectively recruit and select talented salespeople with the goal of establishing a competitive team.
- Set clear sales targets and actively track sales goals to ensure they are consistently met or exceeded.
- Professionally develop the sales team through continuous learning, counselling, coaching, feedback and product knowledge education.
- Manage team performance by establishing and communicating key performance indicators, conducting performance reviews, and creating performance improvement plans (PIPs), when required.
- Ensure both internal and external sales teams are operating productively and within approved budgets.
- Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth_
- Develop and implement sales initiatives and programs focused on generating business, capturing new demographics and driving revenue growth.
- Proactively identify emerging markets and market shifts, staying abreast of new products and competition status.
- Grow and maintain relationships with new retail partners to initiate and build product sales
- Monitor, measure and report on sales results, sales metrics and ROIs on various sales initiatives
- Research, schedule and attend industry tradeshows and act as a brand ambassador
- Customer Service & Account Management_
- Oversee key relationships with large accounts to develop yearly sales plans to ensure targets are met
- Meaningfully utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to strategically track customer and supplier relationships, retailer information and sales metrics.
- Build and promote strong customer relationships built on trust by actively working to understand the organization’s ideal customer, their needs, and the way in which IWR’s products address those needs.
- Address customer complaints and provide on-site support, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction is always achieved.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- At least five (5) years’ experience working as a sales manager, or in a similar leadership role responsible for overseeing a team, required.
- Proven record of successfully setting sales goals and consistently meeting or exceeding targets, required.
- Diploma or degree in Business Admin., Communications, Sales Management or a related field, required.
- Strong knowledge and/or experience working in the pet food industry, an asset.
- Certified Sales Associate/Professional/Leader (CSA, CSP, CSL) designation, an asset.
- Valid class G driver’s license (travel may be required, occasionally)
