As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will

  • Review and verify vendor invoices and statements.
  • Correspond with vendors to resolve account matters.
  • Be responsible for accurate and timely coding of invoices.
  • Be responsible for accurate routing of invoices to approvers through paperless workflow software.
  • Develop and maintain relations with vendors and internal customers.
  • Perform assigned duties in compliance with internal standard operating procedures and external regulations, and ensure compliance issues are brought to the attention of management.
  • Generate weekly cheque runs, EFT and ACH payments and complete online payments.
  • Cross train to assist with work load and support teams as needed.
  • Identify wastes and opportunities and suggest process improvements.
  • Vocational or technical training in accounting.
  • 1 year of accounts payable experience or related administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs.
  • Desire to improve skills and understand business systems.
  • Ability to work in a large energetic team environment.
  • Ability to handle a large volume of transactions on a daily basis.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
