**Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator with Galvanizing experience NOC 72500**
**Duties/Responsibilities**:
- Perform Overhead Crane H&S Inspection.
- Operate overhead crane to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials.
- Perform pre-operational inspection, and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
- Perform routine maintenance work.
- Operate and control: electroplating equipment to coat metal, hot-dip metal plating equipment to galvanize metal and/or spray equipment to build up worn or damaged parts.
- Ensure that material meets or exceeds ASTM A123/A123M and AGA Association requirements.
- Ensure material/steel is free of any excess zinc and all impurities by immersing metal into caustic and Hydrochloric Acid tanks.
- Material is to be free of kettle skimming’s, including ash and zinc inclusions.
- Ensure kettle crew is working efficiently.
- Unprocessed goods to be checked for drainage/venting and inspects final good material for text, drips, bare areas and sharp edges.
- Assist and Direct riggers with specific guidelines that have to be met to obtain the highest quality material and operate equipment to polish metallic surfaces of products as per Quality Department requirements.
- Confers with leads and/or supervisors to report material conditions that could result in production or customer problems.
- Surroundings kettle area is clear from zinc particles.
- Ensure kettle dip sheet is filled out accurately.
- Be responsible at all times by following H&S policies and OH&SA and Regulations.
**Requirements**:
- Must have the ability to direct kettle work force.
- Must be able to efficiently read and write.
- Must ensure that material is ready for the galvanizing process.
- Require to help in other areas as required by Supervisor.
**Rate**:$26.35 per hour, Monday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm
