Operations Manager
Each cup of our coffee impacts families of smallholder coffee farmers and takes meaningful steps toward their independence and freedom. This role is responsible for managing the systems and processes that our company relies on day-to-day, while building and refining operations as we continue to grow.
A few key responsibilities include managing the production schedule, working with vendors, and implementing new policies as needed.
The Operations Lead is a pivotal position that enables us to consistently deliver high-quality products to our customers and partners, and it plays a central role in our mission to end predatory lending and create pathways to independence for coffee farmers.
**Who We Are**
Road Coffee was born from bold decisions and meaningful connections. We bring you exceptional coffee from a farmer's hand to your cup and invest it back in their land. We're passionate not just about roasting great coffee, but about transforming the industry to have a deeper, more lasting impact.
Through our BeyondFair and microfinance programs, we work directly with smallholder farmers to disrupt cycles of debt and open up new opportunities. We're here to lift producers out of the systemic unfairness that keeps them shackled and open markets that allow them to thrive on their terms.
When you drink Road Coffee, you are supporting something bigger. And when you work with us, you become part of that transformation.
**Who You Are**
You’re efficient, detail-driven, and empathetic. You take initiative, thrive in a collaborative environment, and know how to keep things moving. You value relationships as much as results, and bring a creative, solutions-oriented mindset to your work.
In this role, you’ll help deliver a remarkable Road Coffee experience from farm to cup. You understand systems, operations, and financial management — and how all of it connects to our mission. You anticipate challenges, solve problems, and keep us growing in the right direction.
You’re a go-getter who’s ready to be part of something bigger than yourself — and willing to put in the work to make it happen.
**The Job**
This is a full-time, in-person position based at our roastery. The Operations Lead works directly with the CEO and is responsible for managing and scaling operations as we continue to grow. You’ll take ownership of four main areas: day-to-day operations, long-term systems, relationship management, and strategy.
**Essential Responsibilities** (including but not limited to):
- Oversee day-to-day operations: purchasing of materials, manufacturing, and distribution
- Ensure an excellent customer experience across all channels
- Provide timely, high-quality service to new and existing clients
- Solve problems as they arise, maintaining service and product standards
- Keep activities on schedule and within budget
- Monitor and troubleshoot daily workflows
- Lead quality assurance across manufacturing and customer service
- Maintain strong inventory management practices
**Why It Matters**
Operations are core to Road Coffee’s mission. They’re how we honor our commitment to farmers, customers, and partners — and how we ensure that our impact is real and lasting. From sourcing and roasting to delivery and customer care, our operational excellence is what allows our mission to move forward.
By leading operations, you’re not just improving systems — you’re helping create independence for coffee farmers, delivering high-quality coffee to people who care, and sharing our story with every decision you make.
**Other Details**
- **Location**: In-person at our roastery
- **Schedule**: Full-time, typical office hours with occasional flexibility
- **Reports to**: CEO

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
