**Role Description**

Reporting to the Production Team Leader. The kitting and raw material operator is responsible for preparing the kits of raw material to build composite parts. The operator embraces a culture defined by safety, quality, teamwork, and accountability.

**In this role, you will**:

- Prepare the kits of raw material (e.g., carbon fiber or fiberglass prepregs, adhesive films, honeycomb core) per specific work instructions and customer specifications.
- Kitting including (but not limited to): sorting of material in freezers, program and operate material ply cutting machine, hand cutting of material, etc.
- Deliver kits to the different production areas.
- Manage time
- and -temperature-sensitive material.
- Programme and operate ply cutting machine: pattern nesting, material cutting, optimization to reduce waste.
- Perform self-quality checks.
- Identify nonconforming conditions in material and conditions.
- Record results (e.g., production and inspection) per work instructions where required.
- Meeting schedule and production requirements.
- Following and promoting safety rules, such as wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), safety glasses, safety shoes and hearing protection where required.

**You have**:

- Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent experience)
- 1 years' experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- High attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, quick learner.
- Ability to use of power tools, cutting tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and/or blueprints.
- Ability to follow demonstrated steps.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Manual dexterity/coordination.
- Physical demands include lifting and moving material weighing up to 50lbs and wearing personal protective equipment.
- Organization: Ability to keep track of various parts and job orders and manage time spent on different tasks.
- Cleanliness: Ability to keep a clean workspace (parts can be sensitive to foreign materials).
- Safety-Minded: Put safety first and realize how important it is to take care around certain machinery/equipment.
- Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by supervisors.
- Must be willing to work any shift.
- Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
