The Youth Programs Animator delivers a leadership development program for at-risk Anglophone youth aged 12-17. The role focuses on facilitating weekly leadership workshops, mentoring youth, coordinating guest speakers and experiential outings, and supporting a youth-led community project. The coordinator creates a safe, inclusive environment that fosters confidence, communication, teamwork, and community engagement.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Facilitate weekly leadership, life-skills, and personal development workshops
- Mentor and support youth in a group setting
- Coordinate guest speakers and experiential learning activities
- Support youth in planning and completing a community-based project
- Build positive relationships with families, schools, and community partners
**Qualifications**
- Experience working with youth, preferably in community or leadership programs
- Strong facilitation, mentoring, and communication skills
- Ability to engage at-risk youth in a supportive, structured environment
- Fluency in English required and French knowledge

L’animateur-trice des programmes jeunesse offre un programme de développement du leadership destiné à des jeunes anglophones à risque âgés de 12 à 17 ans. Le poste consiste à animer des ateliers hebdomadaires de leadership, à encadrer et accompagner les jeunes, à coordonner des conférenciers invités et des sorties expérientielles, ainsi qu’à soutenir un projet communautaire dirigé par les jeunes. La personne titulaire du poste crée un environnement sécuritaire et inclusif favorisant la confiance, la communication, le travail d’équipe et l’engagement communautaire.
**Principales responsabilités**
- Animer des ateliers hebdomadaires de leadership, de compétences de vie et de développement personnel
- Encadrer et soutenir les jeunes en contexte de groupe
- Coordonner des conférenciers invités et des activités d’apprentissage expérientiel
- Soutenir les jeunes dans la planification et la réalisation d’un projet communautaire
- Établir et maintenir des relations positives avec les familles, les écoles et les partenaires communautaires
**Qualifications**
- Expérience de travail auprès des jeunes, idéalement dans des programmes communautaires ou de leadership
- Excellentes compétences en animation, en mentorat et en communication
- Capacité à mobiliser des jeunes à risque dans un environnement structuré et bienveillant
- Maîtrise de l’anglais requise et connaissance du français
