Compensation depending on experience

Job Duties:

- Assist in excavating, demolition, formwork, waterproofing, landscaping, finishing, and all other aspects of general construction
- Assist with the forming, pouring, and finishing of concrete projects as required
- Install rebar and tie rebar
- Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade, desired pitch and depth
- Spread, level and smooth concrete using rake, shovel, hand tools and power tools
- Operate various hand power equipment, such as jackhammers, saws, grinders, drills and injection pumps.
- Mold expansion joints and edges using edging tool, jointer and straight edge
- Monitor how the wind, heat or cold affect the concrete throughout the process
- Build, erect, align and dismantle forms for various concrete structures and pier foundations utilizing concrete forming systems
- Removes damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace using hand tools.
- Load and unload construction materials and move materials to the work area
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment; cleans up worksite debris
- perform any other construction labour-related tasks as required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2-3 years experience in concrete forming and finishing experience and Construction experience.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Good verbal communication skills, positive attitude and ability to work as a team
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outside in all types of weather.
- Familiarity with bridge formwork/construction would be an asset.

Available to work Monday to Friday from 7 to 5pm, night work and weekends
