**Title: Program Officer, Indigenous Reconciliation and Responsible Investment**

**Status**:Full-time, two-year contract, Unionized. Extension possible upon funding

**Salary**:$68,000.00 ($69,360 starting in June)

SHARE is seeking an individual passionate about and committed to advancing Indigenous reconciliation, and building a more sustainable, inclusive, and productive economy. Reporting to the Associate Director, Inclusive Economy, and working collaboratively across programs, the Program Officer will play a key role in supporting SHARE’s efforts to advance reconciliation with institutional investors, including as part of its participation in the Reconciliation and Responsible Investment Initiative. Your work will involve conducting research, coordinating meetings and events, and producing written materials suitable for investor audiences.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**The Program Officer’s responsibilities include**:

- Coordinate engagement meetings and communications with Indigenous and allied investors, asset managers, and companies on Indigenous reconciliation and responsible investment issues.
- Coordinate events and other activities related to SHARE’s efforts to advance Indigenous reconciliation in capital markets.
- Conduct research on investor and corporate policies and practices related to Indigenous rights and reconciliation.
- Help develop training materials on Indigenous reconciliation and responsible investment suitable to investor audiences.
- Maintain an up-to-date clearinghouse of educational resources on Indigenous reconciliation and responsible investment for internal use, and network partners and participants.
- Write and edit public, client and internal communications about Indigenous rights and reconciliation issues in capital markets, including policy briefs, blog posts, and research reports.
- Contribute to the design, development and evolution of internal research frameworks and methodologies.
- Maintain relationships with and monitor developments from research partners, Indigenous communities and groups, and experts in relevant fields.
- Provide content for partner and network communications, including preparing newsletters and posting to social media.
- Assist with funder communications, proposal development and reporting.
- Participate in webinars and conferences on behalf of SHARE.
- Other duties as assigned.

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Experience in coordinating or participating in Indigenous reconciliation, rights, and/or justice projects or campaigns.
- Ability to research topics related to the Indigenous reconciliation policies and practices of publicly traded companies, utilizing an interdisciplinary, and intersectional analysis.
- Experience analyzing, developing, and implementing policies, programs and/or initiatives using Indigenous reconciliation frameworks.
- Excellent record-keeping, organizational and time management skills, including the ability to set priorities and balance competing deadlines and pressures.
- Team-oriented, and able to work independently on a variety of tasks.
- Highly proficient with cloud-based collaboration tools, learning management systems, CRM databases, and Microsoft Suite. Experience with WordPress websites is an asset.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with mínimal supervision.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- The Program Officer will have the following skills and qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Three years of experience in Indigenous rights and reconciliation, corporate social responsibility, responsible investment, or social/environmental justice
- Proven experience with relationship and partnership development
- Strong understanding of appropriate thematic priorities, including Indigenous rights and reconciliation in Canadian and international contexts
- Able to travel nationally, and internationally.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in an Indigenous language, French, or Spanish is a strong asset.
