We are currently looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join our Information Technology (IT) team. This role is based out of our Riverbend Hub, with travel to our branch network.

**What will you be doing?**

The Desktop Support Technician acts as the support between end users and the computer environments. Responsibilities include network maintenance; computer software and hardware installation; problem identification, resolution and reporting; information integrity and security; and the interpretation of user documentation and procedures. Timely and efficient management of issues including the evaluation, prioritization, escalation, resolution and tracking of issues from employee requests for assistance.?

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install technology and security related equipment and software.
- Install, maintain and provide troubleshooting support for organizational technical, security and communication systems and programs.
- Resolve end-user IT incidents, such as password reset, software questions, PC hardware problems, Internet connectivity, configurations etc.
- Identify trends and trouble spots to conduct proactive maintenance or repairs.
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Implement technical changes with the least disruption to the organization.

**What do you need?**
- Grade 12 diploma?or equivalent??
- Valid class 5 Manitoba Driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Post-secondary?education?in Information Technology?
- CompTIA A+?
- MCP or MCSE certifications?
- Cisco CCNA or equivalent?
- Minimum two years of direct work experience in an IT support capacity?
- Able to quickly analyze issues and determine best course of action using available resources?
- Sound judgment to escalate issues to senior members within the IT organization?
- Knowledge of IT management software tools?
- High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability
