JOB SUMMARY

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Health and Safety
- Create and maintain a culture of Safety First.
- Works with the Health & Safety Department to ensure implementation of Toro Aluminum’s safety program and adherence to all safety requirements.
- Report any known workplace hazards or violations of the Act to promptly in line with Company process.
Technical/Function
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to develop effective recruitment strategies for hourly and union positions that align with the organization's goals and workforce needs.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with temp agencies, ensuring prompt fulfillment of short-term staffing needs while adhering to company guidelines and legal requirements.
- Administer pre-employment assessments and coordinate any additional tests or assessments required for specific roles, complying with union agreements and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and hiring managers to prepare and extend employment offers, ensuring compliance with salary guidelines, benefits, and union regulations.
- Work with HR and the Training Department to facilitate the onboarding process for newly hired employees, ensuring they have a smooth transition into the company.
- Stay updated on labor laws, regulations, and employment practices, ensuring all recruitment processes comply with local, state, and federal laws, as well as union requirements.
- Manage and maintain the Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Input, update, and audit employee information and records within the HRIS.
- Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics to support decision-making.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of HRIS modules and functionalities.
- Provide technical support and training to employees on HRIS use and features.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement enhancements.
Internal/External Customer Service
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with Toro internal departments, external vendors, and Toro Aluminum stakeholders
- Being proactive in identifying issues and helping to address these to best serve the needs of customers
Administration
- Submits site reports on a periodical basis in line with specific areas of responsibility
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
- 2-5 years recruitment and talent acquisition experience, with specific experience in hourly, union, and temporary worker recruitment.
- Knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and temporary worker regulations.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and recruitment tools.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders, including temp agencies.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in problem-solving.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
SKILLS
- Strong computer skills including MS Office (specifically Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Office 365).
- Superior time-management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
- Proven ability to communicate, verbally and in writing, to various levels.
