Job description

S.E.R.T Security is a local company providing services to Calgary and surrounding areas. We are seeking skilled and reliable individuals who can contribute to enhancing the S.E.R.T brand in maintaining its image of Quality, Integrity, and reliability to our clients.

S.E.R.T is currently hiring Full time and Part time Security Guard’s to fill the following:

- **Part Time/Casual Mobile Operators**_- Min 1 year of experience on mobile preferred. MUST be reliable and maintain a high level of professional integrity and reliability.

**Primary Security Responsibilities**:

- Observe, record and report activities and incidents at assigned client sites, providing for the security and safety of client property, assets and personnel.
- Make periodic patrols to check for irregularities and to inspect safety equipment and fire control equipment.
- Ensure public order and may enforce client regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and activities on premises.
- Control access to client site through formal access protocols.
- Patrol assigned site (foot or vehicular patrol) while checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unsecure doors, security violations, access/egress issues, mechanical/electrical issues, and breech of peace/unauthorized persons.
- Monitor intrusion detection systems using automated alarm and video monitoring software.
- Ability to use computer systems including word, outlook, excel, electronic reporting software.
- Protect and document evidence/scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
- Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, flooding, water discharge, elevator emergency, hazardous materials, inclement weather, and other incidents.
- Prepares logs and reports as required.

**Skill Set Requirements**:

- Fluency in English, spoken and written. Fluency in French is an asset.
- Strong use in technology and use of cellphone for report writing.
- Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
- Strong teamwork abilities and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize, remain calm and alert while multi-tasking in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable undertaking training and operating in a rapidly changing and often high stress environment.

**Career Requirements**:

- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year of security experience with valid Alberta security license.
- Must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident.
- Personal vehicle is preferred.
- No previous criminal background for which a pardon has not been granted.
- Available to work and commute for any scheduled shifts in a 24/7 operation including weekends and public holidays.
- High standard of both personal and professional ethics and integrity.

Licence/Certification:

- Full Class 5 Drivers License (required)
- Alberta Security License (required)
