**About the Role**:
The Regulatory Compliance Communications Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that Stenberg College maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards. This position is responsible for preparing, managing, and submitting documentation for program approvals, accreditation reports, and compliance updates to various governing agencies. Additionally, the Specialist communicates changes and updates to staff.
**Location**: Surrey, BC & Remote
**Employment Type**: Permanent, Full-time
**What You Will Do**:
- Prepare, write, and manage submissions for new program approvals, change submissions, reports, and other documentation required by regulatory agencies such as PTIB, BCSLS, Ministry of Children and Families, ECE Registry, Accreditation Canada, CCAPP, EQA, etc.
- Compile and submit all program Institution Accreditation and Re-accreditation reports, with support from the Regulatory Compliance Coordinator and consultation with Directors, Managers, Department Heads, etc.
- Provide regular reports to the Executive and Senior Leadership Team to keep them informed of compliance efforts and progress.
- Lead annual program changes, policy reviews, and program reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate summaries of annual program and policy changes to Stenberg College Administrators and Faculty to ensure awareness and understanding.
- Optionally, lead and draft all student appeals and dispute responses for review and sign-off by the Leadership Team, or review, edit, and sign off on responses before distribution to students
**Who You Are**:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, regulatory affairs, or a related field.
- Previous experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within higher education or healthcare.
- Exceptional interview and active listening skills, with the ability to adjust communication style to match various interviewee styles.
- Excellent written, editing, and verbal communication skills, capable of clearly and effectively communicating complex regulatory information.
- Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective communication with internal and external partners.
- Proficient in identifying trends to proactively address compliance issues and develop risk management strategies.
- Ability to utilize software tools to create visualizations from raw data sets.
- Familiarity with regulatory agencies and accreditation standards relevant to the education and healthcare sectors is an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
