**About this job**:
We are seeking for our Toronto office, a Business Analyst who is a highly skilled, self
- motivated individual with extensive analyst background and skills. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the analysis, development and support of all incoming client data files for processing in PartnerRe systems. Typically, this data is in the form of transaction, in force, valuation, underwriting and claims files which have process streams that vary by function.

**About the role**:
Your internal responsibilities will include:

- Create and maintain the ETL scripts used for acquiring, transforming and loading into PartnerRe systems/tools.
- Design and maintain an effective control environment for all ETL processes, including underwriting, administration, claims, accounting and valuation.
- Ensure monthly data loads continue to meet stated metrics. Responsibilities include data/plan mapping (including entry and verification of manual data loads) for all clients, investigation and resolution of client issues, and accounting loads/verification.
- Analyze and design management reporting as defined by management. Write VBA code, macros, and SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and distribute data.
- Document all IT processes and procedures put into production.
- Adhere to all IT controls and security established by IT management.
- Keep the Business Analysis Manager informed of ongoing work activities and any unusual circumstances to ensure quality and timely deliverables.
- Update accounting system to track premium and commission accounts. Find and correct any discrepancies.
- Assist other teams within North American Life Operations when necessary including, claims, retro and reporting teams.
- Assist Valuation and Pricing with requests for data and data inquiries. Analyze discrepancies and provide documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, initiate internal reports and create efficiencies to improve data quality.
- Assist with Enhancement Projects including creation of project, testing and preparation for deployment. Defect/bug discovery and acceptance testing for the administration system. Document testing and outcomes and liaise with other departments to ensure tasks and bugs are completed to specifications.
- Participation in client visits.
- Communicate with clients to facilitate transmission of monthly transaction files and address any questions/clarifications regarding data issues with clients.
- Conduct client audits (desk and on-site audits).

- Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior management, peers and staff
- Demonstrated ability to promote effective teamwork and accountability
- Ability to handle multiple assignments communicating prioritizations to required levels
- Ability to effectively work with external parties (auditors, vendors, advisors and regulators)
- Highest degree of professional ethics
- Strong interpersonal skills & effective communicator (written and oral)
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-identification and resolution skills with attention to detail
- High degree of personal competence (self-awareness, self-management) and social competence (social awareness, relationship management)

**Qualifications and Experience Required**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of computer science, management
