- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- Assist customers with heavy-duty parts questions and needs
- Provide excellent customer service to both shop and field technicians and assist at the counter with external parts.
- Clearly and effectively communicate product features, benefits, and warranty policy to customers
- Ensure all required paperwork is accurately completed including coding, costing, and pricing
- Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
- Locates out-of-stock parts from an outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
- Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special ordered parts have been received.
- Wrap or bag merchandise for customers and assist in loading to their vehicle
- Demonstrate a positive, helpful attitude and show professionalism in conduct and appearance at all times
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on the service repair order.
- Prepare invoice, receives payment from retail customers, or obtain credit authorization.
- Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
- Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
- Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
- Solicits assigned accounts by phone.
- Help with shipping and receiving when required
- Help keep display areas clean and organized
- Be available at fiscal yearend to help with inventory
- Pick customer orders
- Be available to work a Saturday shift and be on-call after hours
- Adhere to Fleet Brake’s published policies and procedure
- Any other duties assigned by the supervisor not far outside my expertise and training.
- **Qualifications**:_
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- Basic computer skills (Windows, Explorer, Outlook, knowledge of _Karmak_ is an asset)
- Knowledge and experience in Heavy Duty parts
- Knowledge of Heavy Duty cataloging and/or inventory management systems
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Ability to learn in a fast-paced retail sales environment
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- Heavy Duty Parts Sales: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (preferred)
