Description
**Education/Experience**:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 2-3 years experience in post-secondary admissions, with an understanding of the graduate student market is required.
**Knowledge/Skills**
- Student management database experience preferred.
- A strong alignment with the mission and values of Adler University.
- Strong computer skills with standard computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and experience with event planning and public speaking an asset.
- Excellent follow-up, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Extremely organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
- Keen attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as function as a contributing team member.

**Responsibilities**:
- Advise students regarding career or vocational matters including autobiographies and résumé preparation, admissions interview skills, and potential career exploration after graduation.
- Represents Adler University at on-campus and online events, as well as off-campus recruiting events when required.
- Coordinate and conduct on-campus admissions events, give presentations, and conduct Campus tours.
- Coordinates counselling skills workshops and participates in student orientation, maintains a student relocation Facebook page and participates in University events under the direction of the DOA.
- Answer questions about the University’s programs, admissions requirements, policies and procedures, tuition and finances, housing and relocation information.
- Consult with faculty and other departments on various issues/concerns regarding programs, student experiences, and admissions.
- Conduct course registration advising for newly admitted students such as course and program selection, timetables, and scheduling.
- Execute written and verbal correspondence to applicants and admissions inquiries and other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions.
**Work Schedule**:
Primarily Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend hours may be required, as well as travel (within British Columbia) when required. Hybrid office schedule after the probation period is available with approval.
**Travel Requirements**: Ability to travel to local off-campus events as needed. These events require the ability to physically transport materials, set-up displays, and stand for extended periods of time.
**Work Environment**:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs’ functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
