**The Store Supervisor is responsible for directly working with the General Manager and retail store sales team to ensure excellent customer service, team collaboration on store tasks, and employee retention.**

**What we want**

Helping to recruit, interview, train, and retain a high-performing sales team.

Conduct employee reviews. Work alongside the General Manager to ensure clear, documented and executed employee performance improvement plans, based on established Murphy Gear key performance indicators (KPI).

Assist in planning a well-thought-out staff schedule, including seasonal surges, back up plans for absences/sick time and overtime, including planning and preparation for Inventory counts.

Perform and/or supervise store opening and closing procedures including but not limited to arming and disarming store alarms, counting and balancing tills and float at the beginning and end of each shift. Work with your team in store to deliver excellent customer service.

Assigning to-do / task lists, floor zone management strategy, merchandise adjustments, and directing restocking.

Help supervise sales staff POS customer transactions to reduce errors. Operate the cash register and POS system as required.

Supervise staff in picking customer orders for shipping and store pick up, including online and telephone sales.

Assist with the execution of large contracts.

Work with store staff to resolve customer issues proactively and/or as they arise and report unresolved issues to the General Manager.

Ensure the store team performs their job to Company standards and are held accountable for non-compliance with policies such as cell phone policy, breaks, and lunch hours, and asking for time off.

Help develop and implement marketing strategies to improve store traffic.

**Required**:
A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience involving recruitment, training and reviewing of up to 10 full and part time employees in a retail setting.

A minimum of 2 years of Cash handling, Visa, debit, and opening and closing procedures.

At least a two year experience in fast paced sales retail team environment

**Preferred**:
Computer literacy, with Excel, Word, Facebook, Instagram, e-commerce.

Experience in helping to maintain an e-commerce site, i.e. adding new stock

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
