Join our team at Southlake where the best experiences happen We are seeking an Employee & Labour Relations Associate to provide advanced level support to a team of HR Business Partners, Labour Relations Consultants and HR management in the areas of grievance management, bargaining preparation, performance management, employee engagement initiatives, labour management and special projects. You are an integral part of the team; you are seen as someone who is passionate about service excellence with exemplary administration coordination. You demonstrate knowledge in employee and labour relations, with sound judgment and independence to support the team. You have strong organizational and time management skills, you are service focused with a high degree of initiative and attention to detail.

**Qualifications**

What Do You Bring To The Role?
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management and/or Industrial/Labour Relations or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Two years of relevant experience in human resources, labour relations or employee relations, in a unionized environment; experience in healthcare or public sector is an asset.
- Experience with collective agreement interpretation and grievance administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with relevant legislation (i.e. Employment Standards Act, Pay Equity, Collective Agreement, Labour Relations Act, etc.).
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationship with colleagues, management and union partners.
- Exceptional time management, planning and organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong execution skills.
- High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to define a problem, collect data, analyze, interpret and make recommendations.
- Ability to conduct research and condense complex information.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills, with a diverse group.
- Knowledge and understanding of human capital metrics, monitor and analyze data for trends.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.

- Support the team with a variety of employee and labour relations matters.
- Develop and maintain accurate grievance and arbitration files.
- Maintain tracking system for case files, including grievance tracking, legal tracking, settlement tracking, leave of absence tracking.
- Prepare labour management committee agendas, meeting minutes and track action items.
- Prepare and/or process confidential information, records, forms and correspondence.
- Prepares regular data reports and analysis for management decision-making.
- Analyze internal and external human resources developments to identify patterns and trends.
- Researches and develops documentation for labour and employee relations matters including grievances, arbitrations and collective bargaining.
- Provides support in responding to inquiries from leaders and staff eg. Providing information on policies, procedures and collective agreement interpretation.
