Jubb Utility Supply Ltd, a distributor of Tools and Safety Equipment for the utility industry has an immediate career opportunity for a General Labourer.

**Role**

The General Labourer is responsible for all aspects of building, repairing and testing electrical cable products including live line jumpers.

**Responsibilities**
- Upon receiving product, it is your responsibility to wash, clean, stamp, move and pack product for shipping back to customer
- Communicate with Service Coordinator and Supervisor concerning Rush, priority orders, refurb deadlines and any other lead time related issues
- Review Customer Specs before initiating work to ensure compliance with customer’s standards
- Follow warehouse procedures for collecting and replacing inventory
- Test new rubber, hardboard and sticks according to ASTM standards
- Test new live line jumpers
- Test refurbished rubber, hardboard and sticks to ASTM standards
- Test refurb live line jumpers for resistance to ASTM standards
- Repair, identify and label refurb product, replacing or modifying damaged or broken materials as required and advise repair department if other material/parts are required
- Accurately complete certificates in alignment with testing report
- Execute quality assurance procedures and update forms, ensuring all information is accurate before releasing any work orders
- Maintain an orderly inventory of all components used for each work order
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Change water in tub and sink as per schedule or more often as required
- Perform other duties as required

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Physical work 80% of the time
- Hands on mechanical aptitude
- Quick learner
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, flexible and a team player
- Ability to stand during majority of shift, occasionally lift/carry up to 50+ Lbs
- Driver’s licence
- Comprehend and follow safety regulations and instructions including WHMIS

**Salary**: $40,100.00-$50,900.00 per year
