Printing Assistant

Winnipeg, Canada Rinella Printers Ltd. Full time

This position is ideally suited for an individual with graphic design experience who is looking for a more hands-on opportunity. The position requires experience with Adobe InDesign and/or Illustrator, but the majority of the time will be spent operating machines and performing manual tasks, rather than sitting at a computer.

Experience in the printing industry is considered an asset, but individuals without experience are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided for all duties.

**Main duties include**:

- Operating a 2-colour sheet-fed offset press
- Operating a 4-colour digital press
- Imposing jobs for digital printing using Fiery imposition software and Adobe design software (Illustrator and/or InDesign)
- Occasional bindery work such as coil-binding
- Occasional off-site vinyl decal installation

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to work standing for 8 hours
- Must be able to lift 30lbs
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have experience with Adobe Illustrator and/or InDesign
- Must be able to notice print imperfections and achieve excellent print registration - attention to detail is essential
