**Trauma Evening Support Worker**

(1:00 - 9:00 pm)

Full-time Position

**Position Summary**:

- Assist in daily Elder’s Teachings Session.
- Participate in daily operations of the program and facilitate the involvement of relatives (clients) in the program activities.
- Work in close collaboration with the Relative Support Facilitator and other staff, to provide support to relatives(clients)
- Support in evening activities.
- Participate as a full member of the program team.
- Support relatives(Trauma) in completing any assignments.
- This position reports to the Program Director.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
▪ Bachelor’s Degree in the Social Sciences/Social or a Human Services Diploma and related experience. (A suitable combination of training and experience may be considered with a minimum High School Diploma).

▪ Experience in trauma-based healing.

▪ Have an intimate familiarity with Indigenous cultures and traditions.

▪ Experience working with relatives (clients) who may have literacy challenges.

▪ Comfortable using case management software; Share Vision and Share Point are an asset.

**Additional Requirements**:
▪ Due to the nature of our work at Tsow-Tun Le Lum; and in alignment with Board Policy: applicants must be alcohol and drug free for a minimum of 3 years; and be willing to serve as a role model and maintain an abstinent lifestyle while working at Tsow-Tun Le Lum.

▪ Current Criminal Record Check (less than 6 months).

▪ Valid First Aid certificate or willing to attend First Aid training.

▪ Valid BC Driver’s License: Class 4 is an asset.

▪ Current TB Test results.
