Tree Farm Helper & Operator

Our family owned company Recycling Worx Inc. and sister company Alta West Tree Movers have been operating in the Calgary and surrounding area for over 20 years. We are looking for 1 dedicated applicant to join our great team

Seasonal (8 month) with the potential for full time yearly work, this job is preferred for an intermediate position that requires prior knowledge with agricultural, landscape and trees.

**Duties**
- Handle customer inquiries about different tree varieties
- Provide information about the products and services
- Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the products and services
- Move, load, and unload trees to customer vehicles, from delivery trucks, and on/off our company trucks.
- Perform manual tasks related to tree planting, including but not limited to:

- lifting
- digging holes
- shoveling/tamping soil
- Watering and fertilizing;
- removing garbage and debris, and
- Operate machinery such as bobcat/skid steer, loader, excavator, and truck spades if qualified.

**Requirements**:

- Physical strength and endurance. Must be able to walk, stand, crouch, bend, push/pull, dig and lift up to 50lbs repeatedly during the course of a shift.
- Willingness to work in a variety of conditions, including heat and humidity, rain, snow, dust, and noise.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak season.
- Must be punctual, focused and responsible. Please note that cell phone use is not permitted during working hours.
- Must be self-motivated, reliable, and demonstrate a positive, courteous attitude toward fellow crew members, staff and customers.
- Must adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures.
- Tree Spade experience is considered a strong asset

Pay: $15.00-$27.00 per hour
