The Prep Cook is responsible for supporting the dietary needs of the children within our centres. This should all be done in accordance with the vision, brand and culture of Childventures.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Delivering nutritious lunches and snacks
- Maintaining a clean/safe kitchen, sanitizing all equipment, materials and kitchen related items.
- Dish washing and hand washing procedures, followed in accordance with Health Department regulations
- Performing duties, as laid out by the Cook
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects and stand for a prolonged period of time
- Occasional coverage of the Cook's role

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must have food handlers’ certificate
- Knowledge of the Canada’s Food Guide

**MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
