**Job Title: Maintenance Worker**

Department: Maintenance

Location: Etobicoke Ontario

Full-Time Position:

- Schedule: 5 days a week, including weekdays and weekends.
- Hours: 8 AM-4 PM.

**Job Summary**:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the hotel’s facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition. This includes performing routine repairs, preventative maintenance, and responding promptly to guest and staff requests. The role involves maintaining safety standards, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and efficiently for both guests and employees.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Inspect and repair hotel equipment, fixtures, and appliances to ensure they are in good working order.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical or technical problems promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel’s facilities and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Maintain HVAC systems, lighting fixtures, and water systems.
- Identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure guest rooms and public areas are safe and operational.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including WHMIS and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are stored properly.
- Report any safety hazards or issues to management immediately.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in maintenance, repair, or a similar role (preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting).
- WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) certification required.
- Any additional certifications related to plumbing, electrical work, or HVAC systems are a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with staff and guests.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as required.
- Must be available for both weekday and weekend shifts.

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
