Security Alarm Technician

Protector Security Systems & Locksmith Corp. is a growing company located in Fergus, Ontario. We service both residential & commercial properties in Ontario. We are currently looking for an entry level Alarm Security Technician to join our team of professional experts and assist the company with the full spectrum of security services that are in high demand.

**As an Alarm/Security Technician Apprentice, you will learn and become proficient at**:

- Installation and programming of Security Alarm Systems, CCTV System and Access Control Systems.
- Troubleshooting and providing technical support and training to clients.
- Reading and following blueprints and layouts.
- Running/pulling wire, fishing walls and terminating wiring for installations.
- Experience working with computer network infrastructure.
- Providing and writing clear reports of completed work.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Ability to collaborate with all other team members is essential.
- General proficiency with computer and electronic technology.
- On-call rotation required
- Valid Driver’s License
- Driver’s Abstract & Criminal Record Check
- Comfortable working from heights
- Previous installation and programming experience with the following manufacturers is an asset but not a requirement:

- Alarm Security: DSC Security, Bosch, Honeywell, ELK
- CCTV: ProVision, Uniview, Avigilon
- Access Control: Hartmann, RBH, Avigilon
- Knowledge of Locksmithing is an asset but not a requirement
- Knowledge of computer networking and programming
- Overtime work may be required to address emergency requests (with applicable overtime paid after 44 hours/week)

**Salary and Benefits**:
- 44 hour work week

Benefits after 6 months

**Salary**: $19.00-$24.00 per hour
