**Job Purpose**:
To provide timely and outstanding customer service at the retail postal outlet.

**Job Dimensions**:
**Principal Responsibilities**:
Customer Service
- Provide superior and efficient customer service
- Answer inquiries and resolves customer complaints regarding postal services
- Abide by the customer service program as prescribed by Canada Post Corporation
- Maintain a neat and organized postal service area and present proper image to public according to policy i.e. clean appearance, approved uniform, name badge

Loss Prevention
- Ensure loss prevention systems and procedures are performed according to guidelines
- Control cash, money order and stamp inventory in accordance with prescribed cash handlings policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate security of cash and mail

Operations
- Assist in maintaining and controlling the inventory of stamps, money orders, registered mail etc. Follow policies and procedures of Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC and Canada Post Corporation.
- Maintain and control the cash register in the department in compliance with policies and procedures

General
- Follow all health and safety requirements
- Ensure the standards of housekeeping and image are maintained
- Train part-time staff regarding procedures, policies and standards.
- Fulfill other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC

***Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- High School education required
- 6-12 months post office experience
- Ability to provide an advice and act as a team leader for part-time employees
- Computer and register experience
- Detailed and well organized with the ability to keep records
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal
- Able to work independently and as part of a team

**Context and Environment**:
A fast paced and changing environment that requires a balance of teamwork and meeting store and customer expectations. The jobholder will cope with register and credit authorization issues and troubleshoot cash and tally differences. Customer satisfaction must be high ensuring that customer order processes are efficient and meeting company standards. Ability to lift 50lbs and act as the frontline company representative to ensure the vision created by management is carried out in relation to the specific job.
