Managing at National Bank Investments Operations, is participating in the transformation that will have a direct impact on our clients. We are in search of a section manager who will have the responsibility of accompanying and supporting a team of senior agents and analysts (13 employees). You will be in a leadership role overseeing that operations are running smoothly, assuring that files are processed quickly and efficiently while keeping the members of your team engaged. The whole of our activities cover account openings, document management, account transfers, account management, securities management, and operational support for our partners.
**Your role**:
- Engage and manage employees independently to achieve the business plan
- Ensure that your section’s operations run smoothly in order to achieve your department’s productivity and quality objectives, as well as their compliance with policies, standards and procedures
- Monitor support activities and implement controls to maximize the efficiency and quality of operations, while contributing to their development
- Contribute to various analyses, research initiatives or special projects that have a significant impact on the Bank’s profitability and efficiency
- Establish and maintain effective communication with the various stakeholders involved in the section’s activities
- Make sure that employees’ knowledge is developed and kept up to date through personalized coaching
- Implement and monitor development plans

**Competencies required**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience OR master’s degree and 2 years of experience OR university certificate/undergraduate diploma from the National Bank University Program and 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in personnel management and/or coaching
- Experience in banking/investments
- Experience planning and organizing work based on volume, resources and priorities
**Preferred competencies**
- Experience managing operational performance (KPIs, deadlines, quality) and group performance (synergy and teamwork), an asset
- Experience optimizing processes and operations
- Knowledge of investment products and brokerage accounts
- Ability to manage change
- Ability to communicate with and motivate a team
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (for dealing with English-speaking partners outside Quebec)
