We need enthusiastic people with a great customer focused attitude The winning combination of team spirit and desire for career focused growth will ensure a rewarding experience in one of our fabulous Distribution Centre **Responsibilities**: - Knowledge and use of equipment such as: Forklift, order picker, power cart, pallet jack - Knowledge of most aspects of property maintenance - Able to perform minor plumbing repairs - Ability to perform a wide range of building repairs - Perform building detail and operate building detailing equipment (Floor scrubber) - Perform MHE battery maintenance and minor repairs - Perform and document preventative maintenance/repair, as required, on designated DC fixtures (overhead doors, dock plates, etc.) and minor equipment located at the DC - Perform and document scheduled inspections of designated tools, equipment and the workplace - Ability to think creatively, develop and adjust repair techniques as the situation requires - Good communication skills - Take required training for building repairs and property maintenance Qualifications: - High School Diploma or equivalent - Proficient knowledge of professional English verbal and written communication - Ability to work a variety of shifts including evenings and weekends as required - Documented knowledge in all aspects of equipment repair is an asset - Forklift repair experience is an asset - Valid Drivers License - Knowledge and use of equipment such as: Order Picker, Power Cart, Pallet Jack Why The Brick?: - Flexible “employer-paid” benefits including Health, Dental and Paramedical Services for you and your family - Competitive pay - Paid training - Career progression program - Access to free personal development training - Employee discounts & Personal "Paid" days off Be a part of Canada’s largest home furnishings retailer - We welcome all abilities to apply.
