Production Technician

**Schedule**:

- Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 5 pm)

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in quality chemical manufacturing, blending, filling, and labeling packaging
- Verifying all the ingredients are properly weighed and that the proper ingredients are being
used
- Mixing product as per the manufacturing instructions
- Following the procedures outlined on the standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Handling and storing chemicals in a safe manner
- Completing accurate documentation in a timely manner
- Coordinate with other departments to determine the progress of work and completion dates
- Communicating with management any safety related issues
- Operating equipment such as, forklift, scales, mixers, baggers, bag sealers, and check
weighers, or other equipment as required
- Reporting non-conformance to management, with a view to quality assurance always
- Maintaining a clean work area ensuring product safety and general workplace safety
- Drying, cleaning and washing the equipment when the schedule requires
- Assist in loading and unloading raw materials and finished goods in accordance with shipping schedules
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Manager

**Qualifications**:

- High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. A college degree is a plus.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing facility
- Previous experience blending in a technician role is ideal
- Previous experience in chemical production & planning, and other related fields
- Understanding of WHMIS labeling and ability to identify potential work hazards
- Understanding of handling and shipping of dangerous goods
- Strong ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. several times each day
- Flexibility, ability, and willingness to switch shifts to cover vacation, sickness, overtime, etc. based on business needs
- **Raymond Reach/Forklift operating license is required**
