**Rate of Pay**:Starting rate of $2200 for the summer of work

**Location**:1010 Birchview Road, Douro-Dummer, ON

**Contract Duration**:June 15th, 2025 - August 23rd, 2025*

*This is a live-on site position. Room and board at Camp Kawartha is provided. Staff members in this position are expected to reside on site from Sunday evening to Friday evening, with weekends off.

**Camp Kawartha Day Camp Specialist**
- Are you passionate about working with children and exploring the great outdoors? Camp Kawartha is seeking a fun and eager Day Camp Specialist to support the facilitation of our Day Camp Programs this summer Through acting as a Day Camp Specialist, you will have the oppourtunity to lead programs, act as a caring and supportive mentor and role model, build upon skills of communication, teamwork, and collaboration, and gain valuable expierence working with children in a natural setting. _
- **Job Overview**:_

The day camp specialist works closely to support the work with the operations of the day camp programs at Camp Kawartha. The Day Camp Specialist will move between the three programs to provide additional support on an as-needed basis. The Day Camp Specialist will have the opportunity to lead programs, engage campers, teach and learn about the natural world, and act as a mentor to counsellors.

**Responsibilities**:
Some responsibilities of the role include:

- Supports the Day Camp program design and deliver imaginative and age-appropriate day-to-day programming for the Day Camp
- Incorporates nature-based activities and themes in the day-to-day operations of the Day Camp
- Ensures safety and supervision of the day campers
- Monitors campers’ health, emotional, and mental wellbeing
- Creates a supportive, creative, and respectful community for campers
- **Qualifications**:_
- Standard First Aid and CPR-C is a requirement (though may be obtained after receiving a job offer)
- Recent Criminal Reference Check
- Previous experience with childcare is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Pay: $1,150.00 per month
