**This is a full-time (~40hr/week, Monday to Friday) seasonal role starting late March and wrapping up sometime in November depending on weather.**

**Job overview**

As pilot of our only heavy duty dump truck, your job will be to support our landscape crews with the delivery and disposal of bulk materials like gravel and soil. You’ll also be hired out to other contractors in town.

You will report to our Logistics Supervisor.

**Specific responsibilities**

You’ll work and manage your time independently and be comfortable with constantly shifting priorities and plans. Some days will unfold differently than expected.
- Ensure materials arrive safely and efficiently to job sites
- Optimize your schedule: proactively communicate with clients, your supervisor and site foremen to maximize daily needs and limit drive and down time
- Engage on site: upon arrivals at load or drop sites, you’ll interact with clients, co-workers and suppliers to conduct hazard assessments and develop load and unload strategies for smooth and safe operations
- pickup of bulk materials at Pika’s centrally located works yard or nearby material suppliers and dump at job sites. Includes operating a front-end loader to load truck.

- care and preventative maintenance of dump truck
- maintaining detailed time and material logs of your day through our mobile app

**Requirements**:

- Secondary school diploma
- A class 1 or 3 driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Some experience driving heavy equipment
- An able body that can handle physical tasks. Able to lift 100lb objects, and 50lbs over your head.
- A working visa or permanent residency

**Compensation and benefits**
- $31 - $34/hour depending on driver’s license class and experience
