We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with good communication skills and excellent technical skills. The responsibilities include but are not limited to production of shop drawings (according to contract drawings, specifications, CRSI etc.), maintaining submission schedules and proactive communication with the internal and external teams to ensure project success.
POSITION FUNCTIONS
- To produce shop drawings (placing drawings) and bar lists based on to contract drawings, specifications, and the Reinforcing Steel Manual of Standard Practice
- Communicate to the project team, Detailing Manager, production, site personnel and other stakeholders collecting required info to produce accurate drawings and calculations
- Scheduling initial deliveries of material to job site
- Handle the occasional scheduling of installers as required
- Assist with Change Management that includes review of drawings, Sis, RFIs to identifying any changes and considering them with the assigned scope of work
- Identifying any ‘specialty’ material required at the start of the project for early ordering of this material
- Work closely with customers to achieve highest level of service
- Creation of RFI in timely manner for needed info such as elevations, pour break locations, etc. to provide accurate and clear shop drawings and bar list
- Any additional duties as required

**Skills and Experience Requirements**:

- Post-Secondary education in a Construction or Architectural Engineering Program
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Rebar Detailer
- Background with Rebar CAD, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Knowledge of Reinforcing Steel Manual of Standard Practices
- Good customer relations skills
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Good organizational, time management and prioritizing skills
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
