**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Create preliminary design sketches for conceptual analysis
- Create engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing
- Verify drawings are correct to specifications, codes, and other requirements
- A sense of urgency and ability to prioritize important work
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural and engineering plans.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Ability to operate computer-aided design (CAD) software and manual drafting workstations efficiently.
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from Project Managers and Engineers
- Time management skills to complete error-free work within the required timeframe
- Communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to develop creative solutions
- Must have post-secondary education equivalent to a 2-year college diploma in Drafting Technology with additional courses in AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of drafting standards and layouts
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Experience with both 2D and 3D required
- _**Relevant certificate in 3D design software is a plus**_

Education: Completion of a two
- to three-year college program in engineering design and drafting technology is required

Experience: Several years of experience in the field are required

Languages: Written and Oral English is required.

Pay: $45,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
