**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Manage a diverse caseload involving litigation in multiple practice areas such as estate planning, immigration law, real estate, contracts and others.
- Conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and CanLii to support case strategies and legal arguments.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other litigation-related paperwork with precision and clarity.
- Develop case strategies through negotiation and advocacy to achieve favourable outcomes for clients.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations with professionalism and confidence.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the law office to ensure comprehensive case management and adherence to deadlines.
- Stay current on relevant laws and regulations affecting various practice areas by continuous research and professional development.
- Utilize legal administrative experience to manage case files efficiently and maintain accurate records of case activities.
- Engage in client consultations to understand their needs and communicate complex legal concepts effectively.

**Qualifications**
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Ontario bar and in good standing.
- Proven experience practicing litigation across multiple legal disciplines including estate planning, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, corporate, contract, real estate or related fields.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis and CanLii platforms.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with a track record of successful case resolutions.
- Legal drafting expertise combined with meticulous attention to detail.
- Chair motions and attend case conferences, pre‑trials and mediations; assist with trials and arbitrations as needed.
- Oversee discovery: discovery plans, undertakings/refusals tracking, productions, and examination preparation.
- Experience working within a busy law office environment with effective organizational skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $50,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
