**Position Summary/Objective**:
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining unconstrained finished goods sales forecast that is used by the operations and commercial teams.

The demand planner role requires a team oriented, analytical, and interpretative individual with strong process, system, and communication skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons with appropriate statistical forecast models.
- Drive the consensus aggregated demand and validate the dis-aggregated product mix based on historical data, seasonal trends, and Sales and Marketing inputs.
- Maintain customer-related demand information: distribution, listings/de-listings, transitions etc. and reflect appropriately in the forecast.
- Lead cross-functional activities to reconcile forecast variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
- Maintain demand planning data and systems, relevant material, and reports.
- Works with supply planning to translate consensus/financial forecasts into SKU & DC level operational forecast for entire network.
- Lead / Facilitate Demand Pre-Consensus reviews with commercial teams to deliver an unbiased and unconstrained view of the demand to feed operational planning and the S&OP Process.
- Ensure forecast is maintained and updated as intended in SAP and any other related system.
- Responsible for identification, selection and implementation of continuous improvements initiatives to support demand planning accuracy, business planning and OTIF.
- Work closely with our Customer Supply Chain team to acquire insights into future demand.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support demand planning process & technology changes (ex: new software implementation)
- Drive automation improvements (ex. automatic Identification of demand exceptions)
- Track the inventory levels; overstocks and slow movers to provide input to the Supply Planning on inherent risks in forecasting decisions to manage and mitigate.

**Reporting Relationships**

The position reports directly to the Demand Planning Manager.

**Education & Qualifications**
- BS/BA degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Operations and/or other relevant degree.
- 3+ years experience in supply chain with at least 2 years experience in demand planning.
- Previous experience of ERP with SAP (MM and PP modules) is preferred, and SAP IBP experience will be an important asset.
- Advanced Excel skills are required and Tableau, Access, Power BI, Power query or any other related experience will be an asset.
- Creative problem solving to business issues and is motivated by seeking process improvement.
- Experience with facilitation of Forecasting and Consensus meetings/discussions.
