In this physically demanding hands-on role, the manager will be responsible for but not limited to:

- Providing leadership to the grounds keeping department
- Developing and implementing care and maintenance schedules for all gardens, trees, shrubs, lawns and equipment.
- Providing guidance for horticulture and landscape improvements to ensure the current and future customers properties are maintained and improved upon.
- Safely operating and maintaining equipment including lawn tractors, mowers, line trimmers, snow removal equipment, etc.
- Removal of snow and ice control to ensure all sidewalks, stairs, parking lots and outdoor public areas are free of ice and snow.
- Maintaining an inventory of supplies and re-ordering, liaise with contractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
- Removal of garbage and recycling on campus
- Working in a safe manner and support all safety initiatives

**Qualifications**:

- 3 to 5 years’ experience working in a similar role
- Ability to work in this physically demanding role where, walking, standing and heavy lifting (50lbs or more on a regular basis) is involved
- Must have sound knowledge and proven experience at maintaining landscapes, plant identification and care and equipment maintenance.
- Completion of relevant safety training is an asset.
- Must be able to maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times and demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
- Maintain, at minimum, a valid Ontario G Driver’s License.
- Operating various types of turf maintenance equipment
- Operating loading equipment, such as skid steers and tractors

**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
