**WORK ILLUSTRATION**:
- to large-scale Information Technology (IT) enabled projects and programs. The role is focused on managing a portfolio of projects ranging in size, budget and complexity. The portfolio has both IT Technical Projects and IT Process Improvement Projects. The incumbent will collaborate with key IT and business stakeholders to ensure the projects are delivered with quality, on budget and on schedule while adhering to the established PM Framework.
The incumbent is expected to behave ethically and follow the established code of business conduct, policies and internal control procedures, laws and regulations governing Toronto Hydro.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Leads a team of designated technical and functional professionals (internal and external resources, vendors)
- In alignment with organizational programs, practices and collective agreements, manages employee performance, attendance and training and development
- Motivates and engages employees in the attainment of Divisional and Departmental goals and objectives and acts to address gaps in performance which may impact outcomes
- Educates and supports business unit users in the use of information technology securely, providing or arranging for end-user training as required
- Monitors new technology requests to ensure they are appropriately triaged and managed in collaboration with the end user
- Inspects the Incident Problem and Change Management processes with opportunities to improve them.
- Incorporates and uses new and existing technology to further enhance and automate the processes
- Provides coaching and feedback to team (internal and external) to reduce and/or eliminate environment, health and safety (EHS) hazards and risks, and introduces controls to maintain EHS performance
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in the day-to-day operational support and IT software implementation lifecycle
- Responsible to respond and resolve real-time incidents in alignment with the divisional service level agreements. Performs post-incident root cause analysis and creates long term mitigation plans
**COMPETENCIES**:
- **Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science/Engineering preferred)**
- **Ten (10) years of progressively more experience in IT**
- **Five (5) years of IT Project Management experience**
- Project Management certifications e.g. PMP (preferred)
- Knowledge of business and technology domains, such as products, processes, markets sand systems (specific to work stream being supported)
- Good understanding of systems delivery, project management, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and ITIL methodologies
- Intermediate knowledge of standard programming and data modeling methodologies
- Experience in successfully managing multi-million dollar projects or portfolio of multiple projects
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and time conflicting priorities/business interests
- Skilled in managing contractors and third-party vendors
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with clients, stakeholders, senior leadership
- Fully proficient in use of MS Office, MS Project, Visio and other PM tools
Toronto Hydro has introduced a Hybrid Work Arrangement. This position allows for remote work up to three days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite on those days when they are involved in activities that they or their leader feel are better conducted in person. You are expected to live in Ontario and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
