**Catering Coordinator**:

Reporting to the Manager, Parliamentary Food Services the Catering Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the catering needs for events including welcoming guests/clients, organizing and coordinating event planning, coordinating food service and presentation ensuring excellent customer service and standards.

**What You’ll Do**:
**You’ll act with integrity to**:

- Act as the first point of contact for any catering requests.
- Work with the client to plan and ensure the catering request meets the needs of the guests.
- Greet guests/clients and communicate effectively to respond to the needs of the clients in a timely manner.
- Organize and coordinate an event timeline, ensuring that the service runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Oversee food presentation, and coordinate event tasks meeti the catering requests and are delivered and set up on time for the event.
- Ensure quality control of all catering related service requirements.
- Schedule and maintain proper staffing for event schedules.
- Assess budget and assist with financial information for events.
- Ensure professional conduct and presentation by staff for all events ensuring excellent customer service standards and staff compliance.
- Ensure all communication via booking process (CaterTrax) is current and with all contract details
- Complete all invoices with correct information and close ready to bill clients

**You’ll support our collaboration as you**:

- Communicate event requirements with the Manager, Food Services and the Executive Chef, and if needed coordinate with third party vendors and external suppliers to ensure correct inventory for event need.
- Guide the catering and kitchen staff in planning and during the event.
- Handle any escalated issues brought forward by the Food Services Associate

**You demonstrate excellence through your**:

- Completion of high school diploma
- Formal Hospitality, Food Service, Food and Beverage Education in hospitality or culinary arts (asset/preferred).
- FOODSAFE and SMART SERVE certifications.
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Minimum of two (2) years’ prior experience as a catering coordinator or equivalent hospitality/food service experience.
- Experience with food catering service operation with staffing, scheduling, budget
- Excellent communication skills and effective problem solving skills
- Organization skills and punctuality to ensure optimum catering event experiences for clients
