- Tradesperson, Oil Heat System Technician: Tradesperson, Oil Heat System Technician Vacant position effective immediately Rate of Pay: As per the CUPE Collective Agreement ($34.72) Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Collective Agreement Local 3876. Reporting to Property Services Supervisor-Mechanical ROLE: The Oil Heat System Technician will carry out repairs and maintenance, and preventive maintenance inspections, on the heating systems to keep them in a good state of repair, functional and safe for all users. Experience with plumbing and ventilation systems is preferred. The requirements for the position are:
- Oil Heat System Technician Red Seal, required.
- High School Diploma.
- Five years’ experience in oil heat system trade preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
- Ability to Service, repair, maintain heating systems including but not limited to boilers, burners, pumps, fuel system and radiation system.
- Valid Nova Scotia Operator's License.
