The Wellness Specialist is a key member of our health and wellness team, and will provide health and wellness support to staff and physicians throughout the organization. Niagara Health is committed to building and growing a culture of health and wellness to support the NH team in the delivery of extraordinary caring for our patients. Reporting to the Manager, Wellness & Health Promotion, you will enable a healthy and well workplace for all by delivering projects that meet our health and wellness plan objectives. By building off of established health and wellness programming, you will elevate and refine the strategy and outcomes based on evidence informed practices, while remaining on time, on scope and on budget. Working in partnership with the HR team and internal committees and working groups, you will execute projects to successful completion during go live for Project Monarch. You have superior interpersonal, teamwork and conflict management skills, and are a skilled facilitator who can bring people to the table and create a safe space for open, insightful dialogue that propels our health and wellness work forward. **QUALIFICATIONS**: - University degree specializing in human services, or a health related field/relevant experience preferred - Experience in a complex health care or public sector setting would be an asset - Experience with establishing Health and Wellness programs and initiatives in a health care setting - Demonstrated commitment to a mutually respectful workplace - Demonstrated experience planning and executing on projects efficiently and effectively - Experience implementing change initiatives that are sustainable - Demonstrated ability to manage a large and diversified workload with often rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines - Excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate in a meaningful way, including in presentation formats to a wide variety of audiences - Ability to exercise independent judgment and take action - Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem solving abilities - Superior conflict resolution and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, coaching and negotiation - Consistent and regular attendance required - Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.
