**RESIDENTIAL CARE WORKER**
- **Full Time/Part time and Casual Positions available**_

**ROLE**

The role of the Residential Care Worker is to supervise and facilitate the daily activities of the residents in relation to their individual goals and plans.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and nights
- Supervise and assist individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
- Ability to teach and practice the skills of daily living
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management
- Excellent problem solving, organizational and decision-making skills required
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrate flexibility and creativity
- Household maintenance, laundry and meal planning/preparation.
- Adhere to EPIC/SMILE Residential Duty Roster
- Adhere to EPIC/SMILE’s Policies and Procedures
- Adhere to Manitoba Residential Care Licensing Manual

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- Must possess a Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to drive anywhere
- Communication in English, both written and verbal
- French would be an asset but not necessary
- Must possess Adult Abuse Registry Check
- Must possess Criminal Record Check
- Must possess St. John’s Emergency First Aid or equivalent
- Must be able to maintain good positive working relations with others

**WAGES**
- As per union agreement
- Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis at EPIC/SMILE office located at 112 St. Malo Street, St. Malo Manitoba.
