The **Vice-President of Clinical Services/Chief Nursing Executive** is a key member of the senior leadership team. The VP/CNE is accountable for the organization and direction of all Patient Care Services. The VP/CNE works collaboratively with colleagues to support professional practice, and leadership to advocate for the delivery of exemplary patient care through evidence based practices. The VP/CNE is an ex-officio member of the hospital’s Board of Director and represents HDH locally, regionally and provincially

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Master’s Degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration or related discipline;
- Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- 5-7years’ experience in Healthcare Management;
- Demonstrated ability in change management, continuous quality improvement, project management, and strategic planning;
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, board of directors, physicians, governing bodies, community groups, media, general public;
- Significant experience working with/leading a multidisciplinary team;
- Previous experience in OR/ICU functions an asset;
- Previous experience in rural healthcare an asset.
