IT Computer Technician

Exceldor Cooperative is currently recruiting an **IT Computer Technician** to support the IT needs of its plant facilites and offices in Ontario. This position will be responsible for the IT support at our offices and plants in Hanover, Mississauga, and Chepstow. Part of the Operational Excellence, IT and Major Projects Vice-Presidency and under the authority of the Infrastructure and IT Support Sector Coordinator, the incumbent is mainly responsible for providing a high-level of IT customer service and support to Exceldor end-users, as well maintaining and supporting the computer equipment at Ontario sites.
**As a member of the Infrastructure & IT Support Team, your main duties include**:
- Provide effective remote and on-site helpdesk support to end-users.
- Provide after hour support as required.
- Handle hardware/software installations, endpoint deployments, configuration, and upgrade activities.
- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, access points, etc.)
- Provision and manage user accounts (Windows, Unix, Telephony, etc).
- Deploy and maintain critical equipment updates.
- Champion and participate in the implementation of best practice security standards
- Provide onsite support to the Network Team.
- Participate in network, server and/or workstation projects.
- Document all activities as required through internal processes and procedures.
- Maintain onsite computer inventory.
- Other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**:
- Completion of a Computer Systems Technology or similar program.
- 3 - 5 years of related experience.
- A+ Certification.
- Strong working knowledge of operating systems and standard business software.
- Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite and Microsoft Active Directory
- Knowledge of VoIP and Octopus ITSM is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of networks; TCP/IP protocols
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to meet important deadlines
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Bilingual (French/English) is an asset
- Travel to facilities within Ontario is required periodically. Will require a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
**Working Conditions**:
Must be available for travel to sites within Ontario
Must be available to provide 24/7 support on rotation with other team members.
Must be available to provide emergency onsite support
