**Job Title**:Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor

**Location**:Alice Lake Provincial Park, Squamish, BC

**Wage**:$21 - $24 per hour (based on experience)

**Employment Type**:Full Time, Year-round

**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance tasks, ensuring efficiency and quality of work.
- Daily and seasonal operation of water system, including daily chlorine residual testing, pumphouse dynamic record keeping, advising Park Managers daily of any emergent issues and arrange for maintenance and repair as required.
- Perform weekly cleaning and inspection of all work vehicles - trucks and golf carts - arrange for repairs as required, advise manager of any emergent issues.
- Maintain tidy and organized workspaces in service yard and tool lock ups
- Maintain two general use basic tool kits for operations staff (Spray paint kits and contents for color coding and easy monitoring)
- Maintain supervisor only access to Tool/Workshop Sea-Can (White Sea Can)
- Maintain basic kits/plastic bins of supplies and a full bed rack of tools for all trucks and inspect their stocks as one of the weekly vehicle inspection tasks
- Train and mentor groundskeeping staff, providing guidance and support.
- Perform and oversee cleaning and maintenance of park facilities, including washrooms, picnic areas, and campsites.
- Manage landscaping duties such as mowing, weed trimming, leaf blowing, and maintaining trails.
- Conduct minor repairs on park structures, facilities, and equipment.
- Identify, report, and address safety hazards or damages within the park.
- Maintain and operate various tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and hand tools.
- Collaborate with park management to develop maintenance schedules and improvement plans.
- Support other park operations as required.

**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong ability to operate and maintain maintenance tools and equipment safely.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Physically fit and capable of performing manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is an asset.
- First Aid certification is an asset.
