We work collaboratively with our client, their family, the community, social services, health care providers and educators.

We provide:
Paid training shifts. To be carried out in the residence that runs 24/7.

Mandatory Certifications:
Possess a diploma or degree in a relevant field. (CYW, PSW, DSW, CJW, Police Foundations)
Flexible in availability ie: display a willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays, as needed
Possess a VALID Non Violent Crisis Intervention Certificate (a VALID NVCI, CPI, or TCI certificate is acceptable)
Possess a VALID First aid & CPR Level-C Certificate
Willing to obtain a vulnerable sector check from police station
Willing to obtain Child Welfare Registry check
Willing to complete medical exam
Ability to provide proof that you have received at least 2 doses of the COVID 19 vaccine
Daily Requirements:
Provide support with academic, social, recreational activities
Implementing individualized behaviour support plans
Provide emotional support and companionship
Outings ie: appointments, leisure
Support client in medication regimes
Think critically ie: planning and early identification of crisis situation
Work in a fast paced environment, under high pressure
Remain calm/neutral in a crisis situation
Resolve conflicts
Prevent and deescalate a crisis ie: crisis intervention
Ability to perform lifts and transfers as needed

**Job Types**: Part-time, Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: From $23.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
