Evolving Youth Care has been providing a full spectrum of services to children and youth since 1998.
We are looking for team members who are committed to positively impacting the youth we support. Evolving Youth Care is looking for part time DSW’s, PSW’s and CYC’s. We are looking for staff to work a combination of hours that meet the needs of the clients we work with.

**This role offers the opportunity to work with children and young people, particularly those on the Autism Spectrum.**

Evolving Youth Care is looking for staff team members who demonstrate positive leadership skills and know how to set and maintain professional boundaries with clients. This position will include taking responsibility for the youths’ safety and security, assisting families in their homes, assisting clients with basic hygiene, emotional support, and day to day needs and activities.

**Key components of the position**:

- Assess physical and emotional needs of the clients, organizing support and activities that tailor to their individual needs.
- Engage clients in activities that promote socialization and structure while offering emotional regulation support as needed.
- Provide basic hygiene care, including but not limited to toileting, changing clothes, and assisting with bathroom breaks.
- Ensure a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment, providing age-appropriate activities with necessary adaptation.
- Working along side the family with planning, supporting and overall care for the child.
- Work within the youth’s community, utilizing local resources and programs.

**Education/Experience Requirements**:
Ideally, you possess a high school diploma along with one of the following:

- Developmental Services Worker (DSW) diploma
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma
- Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYC/CYC) diploma
- **Experience working with individuals on the Autism Spectrum**
- Experience with personal care such as basic hygiene

Similar experience working in Social Services will also be considered.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- Child Welfare Check
- Valid G Driver's License
- Medical Exam
- Immunization Records
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) will be considered an asset.

**Job Types**: Casual, Part-time

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
