The** Student, Product Design** will play a pivotal role in curating and promoting the latest trends in the assigned products category**:Fashion Handbags & Accessories.**

Your responsibilities will involve staying updated on industry trends, understanding consumer preferences, and collaborating with design teams to develop innovative and stylish handbags and accessories collections. You will also be responsible for ensuring that handbags designs align with the brand's aesthetic and quality standards while meeting market demands.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular market research to identify emerging trends in fashion handbags and accessories. Analyze consumer preferences, competitor offerings, and cultural influences to anticipate future trends.
- Create story boards.
- Develop handbags and accessories collections that resonate with the target audience. Select materials, colors, and styles that align with current trends and brand identity.
- Provide feedback and design ideas to achieve the required standards.
- Work with the Head Designer to align the creation specifications of every new product to the product brief.
- Work closely with the Import team to ensure that designs are translated into high-quality, market-ready products.
- Connected with international partners to ensure constant innovation.
- Organize and update the parts’ library.
- Follow the product development calendar to ensure on time deliverables.
- Responsible for maintaining good knowledge of the market latest trends to reinforce next year’s product proposal.
- Present concept and seasonal direction to the Head Designer, and the Vice-President.
- Technical skills for tech pack creation.

**Education and Experience**:

- 1 year of experience in fashion handbags and accessories design is required.
- Diploma in design or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Mac platform
- Monday platform would be a PLUS
- Product knowledge related to fashion handbags and accessories would be considered an asset

**What we offer**:

- Pay Rate: $17-$18/hr
- ** 3-month contractual position** with possibility of extension or part-time (ideal for students)
- ** Full-time position**:7 hours per day + a lunch break from Monday to Friday with flexible schedule program
- ** Hybrid policy**: 1 day per week working from home.
