**Position Overview**

The security officer is responsible for the protection of the hospital, its employees, assets and property, by monitoring the conduct of visitors and persons on the premises, by alerting suspicious persons, activities and hazardous conditions found on rounds and by controlling the parking and traffic flow in the parking lot.

12-hour shifts

On-call position to do replacements.

**Criminal Check**

As a pre-condition of employment:

- All new HGH employees will be required to obtain and provide a satisfactory Police Records Check dated within six (6) months from the date of issue.
- As of now, HGH will require all employees, physicians, learners, contractors and volunteers to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

**What we are looking for**
- Valid security guard license MANDATORY

(as per Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005)
- High school Diploma
- This position requires the incumbent to walk extensively.
- Must have initiative, tact and good interpersonal relations.
- Possess a working knowledge of both official languages
- Ability to work with computers
- C.P.R.
- Must have a good attendance record.
- Must have a positive attitude compliant with HGH’s values
- Satisfactory review of the Human resources file
