**Full Time Supply Early Childhood Educator**

37.5 hours per week (Guaranteed hours)

Hours: vary each day (depending on the centre's on call needs)

Status: January-December (high possibility of contract extension)

Locations: YWCA St. Margaret Child Care 210 Cowan Blvd. Cambridge & YWCA Woodland Park Child Care 555 Ellis Rd. Cambridge.

**Requirements**:

- Registered Early Childhood Educator
- Standard First Aid with Infant/Child CPR
- a NEW Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
- to attend an orientation before starting
- Fully vaccinated again COVID-19

Education: Registered with the College of ECE's as an Early Childhood Educator
- in Good Standing.

**FULL TIME SUPPLY TEACHER GUIDELINES**

The goal of the position is to provide reliable, consistent coverage when staff are absent.

**Guidelines**:
The following guidelines were developed to make the expectations regarding this position clear.
- As a full time supply teacher you are assigned to a home centre _(see your contract)_.
- The supervisor at your home centre will assign you a shift that you will work unless you are otherwise booked.
- You are required to be available to work at all YWCA child care centres and subsequently will work many different shifts including opening/closing and split shifts.
- You will attend the centre staff meetings held at your home centre.
- If you are required to travel between centres during your work day you will be paid mileage. Complete forms monthly and hand them in to your home centre supervisor
- All full time employees are paid for a 7.5 hour work day. You will most likely be working split shifts as well. Any change to the configuration of your day will be at the discretion of the supervisor and will meet the requirements as determined by Employment Standards.
- It is your responsibility to keep track of your bookings.
- The booking procedure for your home centre is the same as it is for other centres.
- You will be responsible for completing a Supply Staff Record Sheet on a daily basis. This form will be handed in to your home centre supervisor and the Director of Child Care Services on a monthly basis. It is important that the assigned responsibilities column (on the form) reflect accurately not only the person you are covering but any other additional tasks that you have been assigned.
- Supervisors/staff will make every effort to book you in advance but last minute booking is the nature of supply work. Make sure your contact information is kept up to date. Please be available by phone between the hours of 6:00am and 9:00pm.

COVID-19 considerations:
All new hired staff need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and be able to show proof of both dosages.
Organization adheres to all Covid related policies and procedures set out by the ministry of education and regional public health unit.
