**Position Summary**
Reporting to the Associate Director of IT Infrastructure, the Technology Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the administration and maintenance of backend enterprise infrastructure technologies within the Information Technology Services portfolio. This includes but is not restricted to Active Directory Infrastructure, Server Hardware, Server Virtualization Technologies, Operating Systems (Windows, Linux), Storage Area Networks, Backup and Recovery Technologies, File Management Services, Network Hardware, Networking Switching/Routing, Network Firewall, Wireless Hardware and Cloud Based technologies including Microsoft 365. The Administrator will also be responsible for providing advanced/tier 3 support to the college community.

**Responsibilities**
- Administer and maintain the college’s physical and virtual server farms.
- Administer and maintain the college’s storage area networks.
- Install, administer and maintains the college network switches.
- Administer the college network routing.
- Administer and maintain the college’s enterprise Wi-Fi system.
- Administer the college’s firewall systems and assist cybersecurity as required.
- Protects all college data by backing it up to the Enterprise Backup System.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 platform including but not limited to exchange online, Azure AD and SharePoint online.

**Qualifications/Experience**
- Three (3) year diploma or degree in Computer Science and/or Technology Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Certificate in Information Technology Infrastructure Library IT Service Management (ITIL ITSM) (asset).
- Minimum five (5) years of experience providing technical support in a large-scale IT network environment including hands on experience administering on-premise servers, data storage, systems and networks in a large scale IT enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience must include administering and providing technical support for cloud-based services
- Coursework or hands on experience the following:

- VMware Vsphere administration
- Windows Server administration
- Azure Active Directory/Active Directory/LDAP
- Microsoft 365
- Supporting online learning technologies both on premise and in the cloud.
- Red Hat Linux administration
- Cisco switching and routing administration
- HPE Aruba switching, routing and Wi-Fi administration
- Palo Alto administration
- Team oriented, with demonstrated mentoring skills and the ability to transfer knowledge of technical details and experience.
- Self-sufficient; ability to perceive, analyze and identify solutions.
- Demonstrated desire to achieve objectives in a collaborative environment.
- Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well within a team, especially in a leadership role and demonstrated ability to work well in a diverse team environment.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours for special projects, system outages or maintenance.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while meeting deadlines and dealing with changing priorities.
